Eligible Players
Players must be born between 5/1/2017 - 8/31/2018.
Players must be registered for and play at least 50% of their games in the SAA 8U intramural league.
Equipment
Players must provide their own glove. Bats and helmets are most typically brought by each player. Plastic cleats are strongly encouraged.
Fee
Players must be registered for the Springfield Athletic Association annual membership fee.
The travel fee will only be imposed if/when your player is selected to a team.
League Specifications
Games will consist of six (6) innings.
Base paths are 60' and the mound is 46' feet from home plate.
Season Dates
Tryouts typically take place in April and the season runs through July.
Season Expectations
Teams will practice at the coach's/team's availability and may include field practices and/or batting cage sessions.
Teams will participate in tournaments throughout the summer in the hopes of reaching the Cal Ripken World Series.
This is a competitive league and will require travel and potentially overnight accommodations.
